Techniques Offered
Accelerate Dance and Fitness offers ballet, pointe, PBT, dance conditioning, modern and contemporary dance, injury prevention workshops as well as adult classes for core stability, barre burn, and flexibility and strengthening.
Ballet Dance
Accelerate Dance and Fitness takes an anatomical approach to training ballet dancers and focuses on teaching proper alignment and muscle engagement. Although Becca’s primary training was in Balanchine style, she uses a variety of techniques to create a healthy, well rounded dancer. She has had extensive training in Pointe and Progressing Ballet Technique as well.
Modern & Contemporary Dance
Although Becca’s primary technique is a Limon based modern technique, she also uses Horton, Taylor, and Countertechnique to influence her instruction. She is happy to tailor classes to the needs and/or desires of the student and work on either technique, or specific skills.
Fitness, Flexibility, & Injury Prevention
Accelerate Dance and Fitness offers fitness classes built from a wealth of experience in various forms of exercise and strength-training techniques. Being a former gymnast and dancer, Becca strives to help people develop well balanced bodies, free from injury. Her fitness classes are influenced from her experience in PBT, Barre Burn, Yoga and Pilates. Becca is also certified in three of Lisa Howell’s programs, world renown dance physiotherapist from Australia.
